Harrogate Convention Centre

Harrogate Convention Centre, originally named Harrogate International Centre, was renamed in April 2017.

The original building on this site was the Spa Rooms in 1835; this is now Hall M and was host to the British Medical Association  in 1884. In 1903 Royal Hall opened and was used as a venue for social meetings. In 1959 the first purpose-built events hall was added to the site, and more halls were added in 1966 and 1971.

The main auditorium opened in 1982 and was host to the Eurovision Song Contest in that year. At a hundred years old, the Hall was in need of repair. After a multi-million pound fundraising campaign, the hall was returned to its original splendour with an opening ceremony in 2008.

Since then, the venue has expanded to include eight exhibition halls with 147,000 square feet of space as well as a hotel. The Harrogate Convention Centre combines heritage with contemporary and adaptable spaces that are easily transformed to suit the needs of exhibitors.

The Harrogate Convention Centre is one of the country’s leading multi-use venues, with numerous varied events every year.

The main exhibition spaces at Harrogate Convention Centre are Studio One, with a total area of 1592 square metres, and Studio Two which has a total area of 1436 square metres. Both are purpose-built, versatile spaces which are regularly used for large national events.
